New Years Eve

Well, there's no way that a trip like this one can go flawlessly.  On our flight from Dublin to London, British Airways forgot to load the entire flights bags...I don't know how that happens but whatever.  We didn't even go through customs in heathrow because we literally had nothing to claim but the clothes on our backs.  Anyway, we went onto the hostel because they assured us that our luggage would be delivered later that afternoon.  Unfortunately we've had kind of crummy hostel mates thus far.  This time our room mates were two Canadian girls who did nothing other than play on their iPads.  They literally did not leave the room.  The other two room mates were two girls, nationality unsure...that we didn't really see the whole time.  Being resilient young men looking for a good time on New Year's Eve, Thomas and I rallied with some fish and chips.

Pretty good.  I'll give it a B+.  Probably just because I'm a salmon guy, which puts cod to shame.  For the next few hours we debated whether to wait in the hostel for our luggage or two go out.  Fortunately we made the right decision. We went to a pub and proceeded to party.  After a few English Brews, we made our way to the London eye where there was a nice fireworks show.

Afterwards, we returned to the same pub where we met som girls from Syria, a middle aged couple from southern England, a couple from Belgium, and a group from China.  My favorite was the older couple from England.  They liked Thomas and I a little too much.  They thought he could be Dutch while they called me an "All American Boy".  The lady also said I could be in a wanker magazine, which I haven't decided how I feel about.  I've also been told I look like Tom Cruise by a drunk Arab guy.  Anyway, 'twas an awesome NYE in London.
